Farmer Arnoud Eight years ago farmer Arnoud (1927) lost his leg. A wound under his foot grew big and finally colored his whole leg black. It had to be amputated, but farmer Arnoud was persistent to carry on. Moving to a nursing home was out of the question. His farm needed him. And above all he needed his farm. Another house without his animals was unthinkable. Farmer Arnoud never had a wife or children; he is only married to his farm. With a little help he can manage. Self-reliant, that’s what he has been for his entire life.
With this serie I won the 2nd prize at the Zilveren Camera 2014 (Dutch Picture of the Year Award).
